During summer 2015 multi-instrumentalist Dario Bracaloni and drummer and visual-artist Guglielmo Torelli get together to create Aquarama: a musical and visual journey that starts from the shores of Italy and leads to a panorama of tropical suggestions, combining modern grooves and downtempo rhythms with vintage-taste melodies and arrangements.
The nine tracks of "Riva" sound like a sandy warm vocal surfaces where colorful tropical rhythms glide alongside groovy basslines and vintage reverberating guitars, while the lyrics - in english - tell stories of separation, insulation and lack of communication. The italian duo wrote their debut album during a muggy summer in the city dreaming of the sea: RIVA music is made of contrasts, between melancholy and will of escape, alternating modern atmospheres to a retrò-sound.
The album is produced recorded and mixed by Marco Olivi at Blue Spritis Studios in Milan, and mastered is by Grammy awarded Giovanni Versari, mostly known for his work on Muse album "Drones". Artwork and graphics are signed by french illustrator Clèmence Chatel.
